True Food Kitchen to bring health-conscious cuisine to Nashville
NASHVILLE: A restaurant chain backed by Oprah Winfrey is coming to Nashville.
True Food Kitchen has been inspired by the philosophy that food should make you feel better, not worse. A passionate collective of accomplished chefs, visionary restauranteurs and a renowned doctor of integrated medicine, they believe “delicious dining and conscious nutrition can go hand in hand, without sacrificing flavor, creativity or indulgence. Here, we invite our guests to become a part of a world where great tasting food and thoughtfully crafted beverages—shared in an environment of infectious positivity—can be the foundation for a life well lived.”
Renowned physician and doctor of integrated medicine, Dr. Andrew Weil, founded True Food Kitchen with the simple belief that food should make you feel better, not worse. From day one the restaurant has championed his vision to bring this new way of eating to each one of our kitchens.
The eatery makes made-from scratch, healthy options inlcuding gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan. It was founded on a set of simple and exhaustively researched principles known as the anti-inflammatory diet. The Nashville location is opening in the fall of 2018 in the Green Hills area.
The restaurant will feature a scratch bar with fresh pressed fruit and vegetable juices, seasonal cocktails, local beer and wine, and an outdoor patio.
True Food Kitchen currently operates 23 locations in 10 states. Oprah recently invested in the company and plans to join the board of directors and act as a consultant.
