Downtown Market offers fresh produce, handmade goods and more

CLARKSVILLE: The 2018 Clarksville Downtown Market will open Saturday, May 26 with more than 80 vendors offering fresh produce, baked goods, local honey, milk, home décor, seasonal flowers and entertainment for all ages.

The Clarksville Downtown Market will be open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays through Oct. 13 on Public Square (Market hours subject to change due to weather.). Enjoy live music, meet our Market mascot, “Corny the Cob,” and experience special events on select market days.

Opening Day will feature music by Hank Baker and Hui Hawaii O Tenesi Hawaiian Civic Club, free activities for children provided by Elevate Church, a farm-themed photo booth provided by Season’s Market, live food demos and free samples from the Farmer’s Market Fresh program provided by UT-TSU Extension Office, and free BCycle rides.

Festivities will offer something for visitors of all ages are planned throughout the market season. They include:

  • Green Day — June 9
  • NEW! Pop-up Markets at McGregor Park — June 13, July 25, Aug. 8 & 22, Sept. 12 & 26
  • Veggie Day — June 2
  • Pop-up Market at the Mayor’s Summer Night Lights — June 7 & July 11
  • Summer Grilling — July 7
  • Food Truck Takeover — July 21 & Sept. 22
  • Health & Fitness Day — Aug. 4
  • Farm to Market Dinner — Aug. 11
  • Market Scavenger Hunt — Aug. 25
  • College Football Saturday — Sept. 1Dog Day — Oct. 6
  • Closing Day — Oct. 13
