Flood Watch issued; heavy rain expected through Thursday
Tennessee is getting yet another deluge of rain over the next few days, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a Flood Watch for the region through 7 p.m. on Thursday.
A cold front dropping into the state today will trigger heavy rainfall tonight and Thursday. Total rainfall is estimated at 2-4 inches.
Storm totals for the period extending from tonight through Thursday are forecast to range mostly between three to four inches. Flash flooding may occur on streams, creeks and low lying areas prone to flooding. Rising water in local rivers may occur later in the week,
