Sights and sounds of WWI come to life at Alvin C. York State Park


Come see the sights and sounds of World War One at Alvin C. York State Historic Park on Veterans Day weekend, November 10-12. Events begin at 4 p.m and conclude at 4 p.m. on the 12th.

Doughboys will be manning the trenches and taking to the air in World War One era bi-planes, guest speakers will present lectures on Sgt. York’s experiences in World War One and other related topics, and to wrap the weekend up there will be a vintage football game held on site Sunday morning.

There is no greater place to honor our veterans during Veteran Day weekend than on the historic grounds of Alvin York State Historic Park, located at 2700 North York Highway, 2700 North York Highway. For more information, call (931) 879-6456.
