Don’t miss your last opportunity for 2015 to catch a free movie with Movies in the Park. Star Trek Into Darkness will be on the big screen Saturday, October 10.
Directed by J.J. Abrams and starring Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, Zachary Quinto, and Benedict Cumberbatch, Star Trek Into Darkness is a fresh take on the classic franchise. After the crew of the Enterprise finds an unstoppable force of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk (Chris Pine) leads a manhunt to a war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction.
The tenth anniversary season of Clarksville’s Movies in the Park has been a great success, according to Kate Dula, the 2015 Movies in the Park event coordinator. “We love to offer so many chances to experience a relaxing night out in Clarksville’s beautiful parks from May through October each year,” she explains, “and it has been wonderful to see so many families and groups enjoying our free movies throughout the season.”
The final 2015 movie screening on October 10 will begin at 6:45 p.m. at Liberty Park Amphitheater, located at 1188 Cumberland Drive off of Marina Way in Clarksville. Admission is free. Food will be available for purchase on-site. Guests are invited to bring picnic baskets, blankets, and lawn chairs. With the fall upon us, the weather cools off after sundown, so please bring jackets, but leave your pets and alcohol at home.
In the event of rain, our outdoor movie screenings may unfortunately have to be cancelled. Please refer to our Facebook page www.facebook.com/clarksvillemovies for updates about weather cancellations.
